Setting up your yoga space at home
Pre-global pandemic if I ever practised yoga at home I just rolled out my mat in any room. It was only going to be 60 minutes or so, so it didn’t matter too much. However, once we locked down in the UK in March 2020 and all the gyms and yoga studios (alongside everything else) it became apparent that we would need to find our own yoga space at home.
Setting up a sanctuary
It’s amazing how quickly you can transform a tiny space into a yoga sanctuary. I usually light some incense and some candles and turn the lights down if it’s the evening. For a morning practice I also light candles and incense but open the curtains and let the light flood in. These subtle difference can make sure a difference to your practice. It feels like being in the studio.
Garden yoga room coming soon
We are in the middle of converting our garage into a yoga sanctuary, therapy and gym space that we can use. I am so excited and I hope to be able to offer 1-2-1 yoga and Reiki treatments (coming in the future) as well as offering the space to other practitioners.
