Next in-person Kids Yoga classes are coming up in January 2025 - stay tuned for more information

As a parent, it’s tough to watch your child deal with the pressures of growing up in today’s hectic online world. Whether it’s school stress, social challenges, or just the overwhelming nature of life, many children are feeling anxious, distracted, or unsure of themselves. You want to help them thrive, but sometimes it’s hard to know where to start.

That’s where our Kids Yoga and Mindfulness classes come in.

Why Yoga and Mindfulness?

Yoga isn’t just about stretching or doing poses—it’s a powerful tool that can help your child develop the emotional resilience, focus, and self-confidence they need to navigate life’s challenges. Through fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities, we teach children skills that will support them both now and in the future.

How Our Classes Can Help:

1. Build Emotional Resilience:
Is your child easily frustrated or overwhelmed? Our classes focus on mindfulness practices that teach kids how to manage their emotions. They’ll learn how to pause, take a deep breath, and handle difficult situations with a calm mind.

2. Improve Focus and Attention:
If your child struggles with concentration, yoga can help. Through specific poses and breathing exercises, we work on enhancing their ability to focus—whether it’s in the classroom, during homework, or in daily life.

3. Boost Self-Confidence:
Self-doubt can creep in at any age, but our classes are designed to build your child’s self-esteem from the inside out. Through positive affirmations, self-reflection, and peer support, your child will leave each class feeling more confident and capable.

4. Foster Healthy Connections:
In a world where so much interaction happens online, our classes provide a safe and supportive space for in-person connection. Your child will bond with peers, create new friendships, and learn the importance of community

5. Provide Stress Relief:
From schoolwork to extracurricular activities, children today can experience stress just like adults do. Yoga offers them a way to unwind, relax, and reset. They’ll discover techniques that can help reduce anxiety and promote a sense of peace and well-being.

BE THE FIRST TO HEAR ABOUT KIDS YOGA CLASSES AND KIDS YOGA EVENTS

Hi. My name is Zoe. I am a Kids Yoga Teacher based in Leeds

I have been practising yoga for over 11 years. And although I discovered yoga at the age of around 17 when Geri Halliwell released her VHS (!) and I loved it so much I used to practise before college i did not continue. Maybe that was because there was not a suitable class where I lived or because I didn’t know much about yoga and my parents certainly didn’t.

Fast forward to today. Yoga is such a crucial part of my life and I hope for my children too. I feel so much more aware of my body and mind connection through yoga and use the breathing practices on myself and my kids regularly. Yoga can help you and your children too.

My kids yoga classes are fun, engaging and inspiring. Scroll down to read some of the limitless benefits of Kids yoga that I i feel so honoured to be able to share with your children.

Finding yoga from a young age

They will learn tools and skills to help them throughout their life, not just physical development but ways to deal with their emotions and general life growing up

Mind-Body Connection

Teaching children to be aware of the important connection between mind and body allows them to tune inwards and listen to when their body or mind is telling them something. Then using yoga techniques such as breathing to guide them.

Balance and Coordination

Children love to practise tree pose. Balance is a key element of yoga originally designed to promote mental and physical connection, as mental clarity and stability emerge from the effort of trying the poses. Even if a child has difficulty standing on one foot, they learn mental and physical balance if they can stay calm when they fall and try again (extra points for wobbles and falls).

Yoga is known to boost children’s self-esteem. Perfecting a pose or improving their balance and flexibility can give young children a sense of personal empowerment.
